These are experiments that range from simple to more complex
Experiment no.1
Blood Cells
1.Make sure your microscope has at least a 100X capacity.
2.Take a sterile slide (picture on photo page)
3.Prick your finger and place one drop of blood on the slide.
4.Place a cover glass(photo page)gently on top on the drop of blood and press lightly.
5.View with the 100X or 400X lens to see red blood cells.

Be VERY CAREFUL WHEN EXPERIMENTING WITH BLOOD THAT IS YOUR OWN OR THAT IS FROM AN ANIMAL OR HUMAN IT MAY CONTAIN SICKNESSES OR BACTERIA THAT CAN BE TRANSFERRED TO YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE.USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN YOU SEE THIS BIOHAZARD SIGN.

What is a Rotifer?
To find out what a rotifer is you could look at my photo2 page or you could see them for yourself.
1.Take one drop of pond or aquarium scum and squeeze it between a slide and coverglass.
2.Place your microscope on 100X and look at the slide if you are lucky you will see something that looks like a transparent worm try to observe it with the 400X lens if this is a rotifer it will open it's mouth and something like hair will come out and seem to mix the water this is it's way of drawing food into it's mouth.
5.Try any fing othersorts of microorganisms in the water.
